This workshop explores the concept of computational omniscience and its implications for logic, epistemology, artificial intelligence, and the philosophy of religion. Classical logical systems often idealize agents as logically omniscient—that is, as knowing all logical consequences of their beliefs. However, real agents, whether human or artificial, are constrained by computational limits, bounded rationality, and finite resources.
The notion of computational omniscience raises a central tension: how can we reconcile the normative aspirations of logic—truth, validity, necessity—with the practical limitations of computation? What would it mean for an agent to approximate omniscience under realistic constraints? And how does this reshape our understanding of knowledge, inference, and rationality?
This workshop invites contributions that investigate these questions from a variety of perspectives, including but not limited to:
We particularly encourage interdisciplinary work bridging logic, computer science, philosophy, and religious thought.
